York Racecourse will welcome 30,000 people this Saturday for the annual Macmillan Race Day.
The spectacle has raised £5.2 million for Macmillan to date, with guests enjoying 7 top-class races, as well as the great charity race. It’s the perfect way to combine glamour and excitement with a chance to help a great cause. This year’s fundraising target is £200,000 and Macmillan are looking for extra volunteers to help on the day – simply click on the ‘Do Some Good Today…’ button at the right hand side of this article.
In addition, an auction lunch is to be held for selected invited guests giving them the chance to win some amazing prizes, including a diamond necklace from Humphrey Butler, a diving holiday for two in Pemba and a private tour of the Queens Stud at Sandringham.
Anyone can buy a ticket to attend the event and take part in the excitement of the races as well as having the chance to enter a raffle to win fantastic prizes including a brand new television, a state of the art sound system, a holiday and a case of champagne.
So if you have a couple of hours to spare this Saturday, why not donate them to a great cause?
