It’s almost that time of year again when we throw the effigies on the pyre of York’s infamous gunpowder plotter, Guy Fawkes, who tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament on 5 November, 1605. Bite into toffee apples and watch the fireworks sparkle and crackle as they boom and take up the sky, as Bonfire Night is almost upon us. We’ve compiled a list of the best events going on in York this year to remember, remember the fifth of November.
