Majestic Frankel has won the Juddmonte International horse race at York Knavesmire today, in his first attempt at a distance of a mile and a quarter.

Sir Henry Cecil’s colt has been described as the Usain Bolt of horses and Frankel has proved himself to be the best racehorse in the world winning his 13th consecutive race.

Ridden by jockey Tom Queally, Frankel stepped up to the 10 furlong distance for the first time and powered through to victory,  keeping his unbeaten record.

Jockey A P McCoy tweeted earlier today: “Even if you’ve no interest in racing Frankel is the best/highest rated racehorse in the world & 1 of sports most valuable assets.”

He then tweeted: “No shock there then the best racehorse in the world has won again, well done Tom Queally and more importantly Sir Henry Cecil,” after the horse won at 15.40pm.
