This week, the 30 April till the 6 may, is RSPCA week and RSPCA York and District are keen for you to get involved. They will be collecting donations and food all week at Askham Bar Tesco’s so if you have something to spare why not pop along.

The RSPCA has been the UK’s leading animal charity, rescuing, rehabilitating, rehoming thousands of animals each year, yet it hasn’t got to where it is today without your help. The support and donations from the public allow the RSPCA to do what it does so well. They have the public to thank for its constant donations and involvement with the charity.

RSPCA week is a week where the charity asks you to do one thing, because, as they state, animals deserve better. There are all sorts of ways in which you can get involved. Some things suggested are, giving up chocolate or coffee, donating the money that you save. You could even ask friends to sponsor you in something you do. Visit the RSPCA website on their ‘challenges’ page where you can find a list of daring suggestions, all of which will help you raise those extra funds. Or why not simply pop along to your local RSPCA charity shop, donating your unwanted bits and pieces and pick up some new things while you are there.

For more information visit the charities website here where you can find all the details you need. Remember this week may be special but constant giving and donations are always greatly received.
