From 10am – 1pm, this Saturday 15 September 2012, a clothes sale will take place in the De Grey Rooms, York to sell off all of the remaining costumes from the York Mystery Plays 2012.
Items for sale will include costumes made from scratch by the team of 120 costume volunteers, as well as clothes and accessories sourced from charity shops and pieces donated from the public. Some items are original vintage clothing and some have been handmade to be in a 30s/40s/50s style – either way this is a chance to pick up some unique for a bargain price.
York Theatre Royal and Riding Lights Theatre Company have no available space to store the costumes so nothing can be anything left over , it all needs to be sold! So this is your chance to pick up a real bargain!
Some special pieces will be placed into silent auction between 11am – 12noon, but other items will be sold on a first come first served basis.
The remaining pieces of Mystery Plays souvenirs and merchandise will also be available to buy at discounted prices.
This is great opportunity to pick up some one-of-a-kind items at low prices, some of which would fetch a profit if they were to be sold on.
Your chance to buy:
- Vintage items from the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s & 70s
- Menswear, Ladieswear and Childrenswear
- Accessories including hats, gloves, scarves, handbags, aprons and suitcases
