No stranger to One&Other and the residents of York, York born singer song-writer Benjamin Francis Leftwich may have left the country for his three month tour across America and Canada but that doesn’t necessary mean we’ll miss the gig.
Playing last October in his home-town of York at the National Centre for Early Music (click here to read the review), Ben was quick to return to the city to kick off his latest tour last February with an intimate gig at Pocklington Arts Centre.
Following the success of Leftwich’s debut album ‘Last Smoke Before the Snowstorm’ Benjamin is now set upon making a name for himself outside of the UK. Having previously never played in NYC, tonight Benjamin Francis Leftwich makes his debut headline show in New York at the Knitting Factory, Brooklyn.
Though an ocean away from home and in a venue built to hold just 300 people, the gig has the potential to be viewed by anyone in the world. In just under 12 hours Benjamin will take to the stage for both audience and Internet users alike as this extra special gig is available to stream live, for fans anywhere in the world by clicking here. The show starts 9:00 pm in New York which will be 2:00 am here in York.
Benjamin Francis Leftwich will be touring America and Canada right up May before returning to the to the UK in June to play a string of dates and festivals such as Kendal Calling and T in the Park. One notable date on the list is certainly October 27th 2012 when Benjamin Francis Leftwich will return to the city once again to play The Duchess York.
