Our love affair with books has just reached a new high.
Like us, many believe that a well written book can have magical qualities, but few realise the high jinx they get up to when the “closed” sign is put on the door at the end of the day.
Sean Ohlenkamp and his wife have used stop-frame animation to reveal the mischievous side of their bookstore in Toronto. Joined by 25 volunteers who spent “many sleepless nights moving, stacking, and animating books” at Type bookstore, The Joy of Books has charmed the world with 1.5 million views in less than four days.
Time for the books to do the talking…
