Steve-O (a.k.a Stephen Glover) is known all over the globe for his antics as part of the Jackass crew; along with the likes of Knoxville, Bam, Pontius, Wee Man and the late and great Ryan Dunn.

On the 2^nd November 2011 he came to Fibbers in York with his new stand-up comedy tour.

Steve-O’s support act was eighteen year old Lewis Costello. He had some good material, but his main focus on racism lacked substance. He made a couple of gags about drugs with the help of a piece of paper, but he didn’t really have a good comedic persona. This lack of timing may have been a result of him drinking too much beforehand (or so it seemed), he was still drinking on stage and slurring his words.

I have loved watching Steve-O on Jackass, Wild Boys and in his own DVD’s ‘Steve-O Out on Bail’ for many years.

Tonight I turned into a fifteen year old boy again; watching him as he talked about the Jackass years and even teased us with a few stunts. He squeezed lemons into his eyes, got someone to do a fireball off his head, and even balanced a very sharp knife on his nose. Every story he told seemed based on true events from his “Jackass days”. He talked about how Knoxville locked him up in the ‘Loony Bin’ to help him get clean, about how Mike Tyson broke his nose on the Roast of Charlie Sheen (this was after they finished filming). I wish I could talk more about the content of his set but as it was Steve-O you can imagine the amount rude and crude stories he told, not to mention the amount of swearing.

Here are a few facts about Steve-O you might not be aware of:

• He was actually born in England
• He went to Clown College
• He has been clean and sober since March 2008

There was only one downside to his set, and I know it was a comedy show, but I would really have liked him to have talked about Ryan Dunn as everyone loved that guy. However, I would definitely go and see him live again – great all round show!
