Michael WilkinsStand Up For Heroes 3 is back again as part of its for its third in a series of co-productions between Topps Tiles and local radio show ‘Fixated On’. Previous shows have raise over £1000 for the charity Help For Heroes, and this year they are aiming higher.
Richard Massara is billed to Headline after a success run of his show ‘Pretty Punchable Face’ at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Massara appeared at the very first Stand Up For Heroes back in July 2012, and brought the house down with his rude, lewd and very funny act. The rest of the line up is still to be announced, but Rory McAlpine is set to compere the cavalcade of comedy. Rory currently runs a monthly comedy night, Pandamonium, up in the Newcastle area where he has earn a reputation as cracking MC. He has appeared at each Stand Up For Heroes, so he must be considered something of a luck performer!
Also performing, Nick Banks (who was in the army himself), Tom Taylor, Fran Garrity & Sam J. Brown.
Sooty’s Cupcakery are going to be selling a full range of luxury cupcakes on the night in all their various flavours, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Help For Heroes cause. There will also be a raffle; prizes could include from Hypnotherapy sessions, Hair treatments from fashionable salons, Tickets for river trips on Yorkboats and more.
This years Stand Up For Heroes 3 will take place at 7.30pm on Thursday 1st November, at The Monkbar Hotel. Tickets are priced at only £6, for what promises to be a great night of stand up comedy.
