Grace ClarkeHarry “The Rocket” Matthews, Pocklington’s own boxer (turned One&Other cover star) is set to fight ten rounds against Jason “Daddy Cool” Ball at The Doncaster Dome on September 1st.
The middleweight fighter, born and raised in Pocklington, has been boxing since 2008 and has caused quite a stir from the outset having started his career with nine victories in a row, and only losing six fights overall. Unfortunately he lost his biggest fight to date back in May, after an exciting four rounds with Chris Eubank Jnr. This time he’ll meet Doncaster boy; Jason “Daddy Cool” Ball for ten rounds in “Championship Boxing: A night of the masters”. Ball has been boxing a few years longer than Harry, he’s lost his last four fights, but overall they’re pretty much statistically equal.
