Vicky ParryCedar Court Grand Hotel & Spa on Station Rise, has just won the prestigious World Luxury Hotel Awards for Best Luxury Hotel Spa in the UK, beating The Dorchester Spa into second place.
The World Luxury Spa Awards mark the culmination of a year-long search for the very best spas and spa brands in the world. They recognise unsurpassed excellence, honouring spas around the world that have raised the bar and achieved the very highest standards in what is a highly competitive industry. The winners and finalists were nominated online by thousands of spa guests worldwide. Official voting closed on 7 May, with thousands voting for their favourite spas and spa brands.
Set within the The Grand’s atmospheric vaults, Spa at The Grand offers a range of therapeutic face and body care treatments, and guests also have access to the gym, sauna, swimming pool, steam room and relaxation rooms.

Cedar Court Grand Hotel & Spa, York has also has been nominated in the much-coveted Good Spa Awards 2012, which is voted for by readers and will include both national and regional awards. The Good Spa Awards website goes live here and will be open for voting from 11 June 2012. The closing date for votes will be 25th July.
Cedar Court Grand Hotel & Spa, York is Yorkshire’s only – and York’s first ever – five star hotel. It has 107 bedrooms, including 13 suites and a lavish penthouse. Many of the rooms have views of the historic City Walls and, as a Grade II listed building, many of the original features remain in place.
