I am a recent graduate from York St John University, and just finishing an internship at Bar Lane Studios. I am an artist who is concerned with the everyday, society and culture. I have been involved and created projects that promote and celebrate the DIY ethos throughout the North. My work is developing from mix media installation, I am experimenting with more socially engaged experiments because of my interest in public response, I like it when people get involved and determine the work that is created.I am the co-founder of an online/analogue touring mail art project; ‘The Postal Project’ which has been traveling the UK this year. We aim to create a publication documenting our project and also tour Europe collaborating with other artist groups who work with analogue processes. I like art work that explores trading, swapsies and swear words. I like art, music and anything that questions and challenges everything, promotes equality, and doesn’t sit there purely looking ‘nice’. I can appreciate something well crafted, but I like to feel excited and full of questions when viewing, reading or getting involved.
