The arts, the entertainment, the fantastic university (of course), the fact that there’s always some new and fascinating festival or event going on.

The Lamb & Lion Inn has the best beer garden in the city, with a view through the trees to the Minster.

Temporary interloper to York, born and bred by the sea in South Shields – genuine Sand Dancer.
History and Philosophy undergraduate at the University of York, soon to be ex-Editor of York Vision (sob!), aspiring features writer. Like to spend my spare time running, walking, cooking, eating (not necessarily in that order). Big fan of comedy, theatre and cinema, love to write about health, beauty, interiors and food.
Best moment of my life so far has been receiving an award from Guardian Editor, Alan Rusbridger. Hoping to bump that down to second place in 2012.
