I work at York Castle Museum, where I get paid to play with swords and cook medieval food. I love the people I meet through my job – tourists and locals, curators and creators – and the things I learn. In my spare time I write, and I’ve had several short stories and a novella published.
I’m a big supporter of epublishing; I don’t think it’ll replace print, in the same way MP3s haven’t replaced vinyl records, but when you read as much as I do the ability to carry hundreds of books on my phone (and rent more from the library!) makes digital a no-brainer. I love the old and the new, so where better to live than York?
