I’m a 2nd year English student at the University of York. I enjoy writing, reading, playing music, and going to watch live bands. I’ve lived in Australia for 8 years so consider myself rather exotic. You’ll find me of an evening reading Byron’s poetry and drinking sickeningly cheap wine.
I’m currently playing lead guitar in local band Panda Cubs. I hope to immerse myself in the music business with both my writing and performing, and I hope to encourage the support of other local bands wherein lies the fruit of the industry. I like to reward genuine emotional depth and real musical expression and reject the contrived popstars generated by the likes of X-factor. I hope to raise awareness of the local talent out there and lead forth a new generation of legitimate artists. With the knowledge gleaned from my degree i also wish to embrace other areas of culture such as literature, theatre, and film, and share my appreciation of culture with all audiences.
