There is a oasis of peace beside the Schoolhouse Gallery and the Quilting Museum. Plus, that DIG!! is actually soooo cool even for adults.

Rose Drew is from Florida, Connecticut, Florida again, and recently York England, pursuing an elusive PhD involving human skeletons. Rose is addicted to hosting open mics, having co-founded three in two continents. York Spoken Word is now in its 6th year.
Rose co-owns small press Stairwell Books, which focuses on Yorkshire writers, and publishes Dream Catcher Magazine. Stairwell Books offers novels, essay and poetry collections, and themed anthologies such as The Green Man Awakes, and Along the Iron Veins. The Exhibitionists (2008) was chosen as one of the Top Ten Small Press Anthologies of that year.
