The Latest Chapter in Our Illustrious Story: The Day The Tour Came

7th July 2014

Today our city sleeps, hungover and massaging its temples, checking through the internet to find tokens of a glorious party. There is a unified buzz in the air that something magical happened yesterday and that many people learned the true meaning of what it felt like to be part of a community.

This aching smile within comes from the fact that yesterday the Tour de France passed through York, a suspected 100,000 people lined the streets and the residents, traders and authority in the city made sure that the party didn’t stop with the bikes.

We took to the town with a camera to record this momentous day.
