Picture by Ben Bentley Earlier this year we met with Jack Martindale to report on his incredible story of beating the odds to survive a near-fatal accident.
When we last spoke to Jack, he was awaiting confirmation from publishers Austin Macauley about the release of his story in book form. Now we’re happy to announce that Jack’s book ‘The Life That Jack Built’ will be published by Austin Macauley on 31 Oct, with a special One&Other launch planned for 4 November. Join the Facebook event page here to let us know you’re coming.
The publishers commend Jack’s book as "a pragmatic and moving account of how the author came to terms with a Traumatic Brain Injury and learned to live life to the full once more. The fact that the author was only twenty-one at the time makes this portrayal all the more poignant."
"It is hoped that this book will reach others in similar positions and help them realise they are not alone." - Publishers Austin Macauley
"Jack advocates never giving up and he is proof that with determination, people who suffer Traumatic Brain Injury can go on and achieve many things."
As they conclude, Jack did indeed go on to complete his degree, coming out with a 2:1, an inspiration indeed and just the tip of the iceberg of Jack’s extraordinarily positive, infectious outlook on life.
Jack will be talking about and signing his book at the event. In the meantime, you can pre-order Jack’s book below.Buy The House That Jack Built
