The Aesthetica Short Film Festival (ASFF) is a major UK and BAFTA-qualifying short film festival. Taking place in 18 venues across the city of York from 3 – 6 November 2016, the festival is an exciting cinematic event. It invites audiences to explore York and experience outstanding film from across the world.
The Official Selection of films spans 11 genres: advertising, animation, artists’ film, comedy, dance, documentary, drama, experimental, fashion, music video and thriller. There are over 300 films in the Official Selection.
ASFF is also a hub for industry, attracting thousands of film-world professionals from the UK and across the world to participate in and attend its Masterclasses, Networking Sessions and Industry events such as Meet the Film Festivals and Meek the Filmmakers. The calibre of masterclass speakers is high, including representatives from over 20 organisations such as Channel 4, BBC, Industrial Light & Magic, the BAFTA-winning animators The Brothers McLeod and more. Topics range from funding, producing and editing to cinematography and more.
Aesthetica are looking for committed, hardworking, enthusiastic and friendly volunteers who have a passion for film and are interested in working behind the scenes at ASFF 2016. Whether your interest is in watching films, events management or being a part of something exciting in York, there are lots of reasons to join ASFF as a volunteer.

Register your interest in volunteering by emailing Ellie Turner: firstname.lastname@example.org You will then be send an Online Form, which you must complete by 3 October.

3 October: Deadline for applications Mid-October: You will be notified about the outcome of your application October: volunteer meetings (some compulsory: 10 October and 31 October TBC) 31 October – 6 November: Festival preparations and duration of festival.
