Inspiral Carpets was formed in 1983 by Stephen Holt, who was joined by guitarist Graham Lambert. The band released two successful EPs, ‘Planecrash’ & ‘Trainsurfing’,and were incredibly influential throughout the 80s and 90s. In 1988, Holt was replaced by Tom Hingley. In 2011, after some time apart, the band reformed, returning to its original line up of Boon, Gill, Holt, Lambert and Walsh. The comeback is for fans both old and new and is a reminder of the band’s great legacy.
