Jacqui Mcshee is coming to York to play at The Duchess this February and don’t miss this chance to see a true folk legend in concert.
Jacqui was a member of folk heroes, Pentangle, alongside Danny Thompson, Bert Jansch and John Renbourn, all of whom are firm folk favourites. Between 1969 and 1973, Jacqui was Pentangle released six popular albums, performed at historic venues, Carnegie Hall, Fillmore East and West, The Royal Festival Hall, Newport Festival, the Isle-Of-Wight festival appearing alongside the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis, Bob Dylan and James Taylor.
With Jacqui on vocals, Gerry Conway on drums, Spencer Cozens on keyboards and vocals, Alan Thompson on bass, and Gary Foote on saxophone and flute. This is quite a line up and the musicians have between them played with Paul McCartney, Van Morrison, Bo Diddley, Eric Clapton, Jools Holland, Jamiroquai, Tom Jones, and The Bee Gees.
