Cardiff duo MWC have a dynamic look and sound, combining manic and eerie synth pulses with heavy bass and haunting vocals. Their lyrics are intensely confrontational. MWC’s Tomas Greenhalf says of their sound, “You don’t know whether to dance to us or just listen to it and wallow in it. The band draws inspiration from Sigur Rós, M83 and Cocteau Twins. Ken has worked with punk and post-punk bands like Psychic TV, 23 Skidoo and Clock DVA. When it comes to live shows, says Greenhalf, “we want to treat the songs differently, to exaggerate and lengthen different elements, so that it’s a unique live experience.”
