The multi-award winning stand-up, film star, and acclaimed writer/producer brings his hotly anticipated show, Tour of Duty to York.
This is the first tour that the British born Iranian; Djalili has done in three and a half years.
Djalili’s career has spanned for three decades, with his first notable performance being at the Edinburgh Fringe festival in 1995 with his show “Short, Fat Kebab Shop Owner’s Son”. His career has since snowballed, leading him to Hollywood (he has starred in films such as Gladiator, The Mummy and Pirates of the Caribbean) and to having his own 22 episode HBO series.
His quick wit and “hammed up” Iranian accent have seen Djalili’ winning support internationally, with the likes of Colin Firth calling it “The kind of laughter that gives you digestive problems” .
Tonight and for one night only the multi award winning Djalili is coming to York.
