On 25 April a new CD is being launched at The Basement, featuring independent local bands and musicians. Some of the artists that feature on the CD are well-established, and some are just coming in to the limelight. Created and compiled by Connor Divine as part of his Music Production degree at York St John University, the whole meaning behind the compilation is to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and to promote the local talent in our city.
For the launch, acoustic artist Boss Caine, and bands What The Cat Dragged In, Katie and the Questions and Suzy Bradley and The Morning After are all playing to celebrate the launch of the CD for this good cause.
The CD is available for purchase at the event for £5, and all of the profits made are being donated to the charity.
