University launching free literature events

A series of free literature events will kick off with a launch taking place at York St John University this Thursday.

The literature events will include award winning Antony Dunn, a recipient of the Newdigate Prize in 1995 who is set to present ‘Ovid and After: Metamorphoses and Contemporary Poetry’.

Dunn’s career includes currently being a regular tutor for the Poetry School and writing several plays including Dog Blue, Goose Chase and Shepherds’ Delight.

Future events at the Literature series include readings from York St John University creative writing staff on 18th October and a view of the successful indie press on 22 November.

Afree performance will take place at the De-Grey Lecture Theatre at the University to launch the series this Thursday. People who wish to book a visit, should visit www.yorksj.ac.uk/artsevents
