Join the National Farmers’ Union, on stand number 81, and see the sheep for this day only.
The NFU will focus on sheep production and wool. On the stand will be a couple of fat lambs. People will have the chance to see them and talk to the farmer. There will also be a display looking at wool production and this will include a spinning demonstration, which people (and school children) will be able to have a go at.

Primary School Cookery Workshops, 10.00
Venue: The Guildhall (off St Helen’s Square)
Free admission – by invitation only
The big unseen element of the Festival – these closed schools’ events allow just over 200 children a day to cook as part of the Festival. Primary Schools; Tuesday and Wednesday. Secondary on Thursday.

Demonstrations take place on the hour in the Demonstration Area – today’s programme starts with a regular face at the Festival, Mal Storey, Executive Head Chef of York Pavilion Hotel, uses the freshest local produce.

Anthony Parish of the Chopping Board will show you how to make lunch for just £1.00. In this first of two workshops, you will learn how to make a chunky Gazpachio.

The Chopping Board is a part time, York based company with over 10 years experience in the catering business and over 3 years experiance teaching young adults how to cook healthy, affordable meals.
