York Literature Festival was launched in 2007 and is still going strong today. The 2012 festival will run from 29th March to 1st April with over 50 events across York. The Festival’s events will include workshops, talks, storytelling, poetry, cinema and author signings.
The fundraiser for the festival will be held at the Black Swan Inn on Saturday 26th November.
Folk duo Sixpenny Wayke and singer songwriter Holly Taymar are just two of the acts bringing their musical talents to the evening. Live poetry and storytelling will be provided by the likes of Adrian Spendlow. Other York-based acts making an appearance include Miles Cain, Oz Hardwick, David Swann and many more.
It will be a night of poetry, storytelling, music and free chips. What more could you want?
